Many construction projects become distressed projects during their implementation because they fail to meet, or can no longer meet, the set goals regarding costs, deadlines, or quality.
The reasons for these developments are manifold. They range from unrealistic targets and changing requirements during the course of the project to breaches of duty by the project participants (client, planners, and contractors). Often, several of these factors interact.
We are firmly convinced that timely corrective action during an ongoing project can minimize target deviations and reduce damage. While cost and/or schedule targets that have already been missed cannot usually be completely rectified, targeted mitigation can limit further damage.
